Piano Lessons
When I began learning to play piano at the age of six I felt as though I was unlocking a secret code. I was given a piece of paper filled with symbols, markings and words that I didn’t understand. So I had to learn how to read the language and decode the script to discover this incredible world. Then once it was unlocked, the possibilities were endless. I could read any treasure map that I was given and that felt like a superpower. I still feel this way when I sit down to read a new piece of music. I feel an immense pride well up inside of me for the ability to understand and translate this foreign language. This is the power that I hope to pass on through piano lessons to my students of all different skills, ages, and backgrounds.

If you have a child ages 4 - 18, then piano lessons for Kids and Young Adults are right for you. Lessons range from 30 min. to 1 hr based on age, skill level, and personal goals. I accept complete beginners as well as students with some previous experience. We will work through the Faber Piano Adventures curriculum learning to read music and understand music theory. Additionally we will work on scales, technique, and repertoire that I choose or the student and I choose together which can range from classical music to fun pop music. So let’s get started!

If you are an adult who has never taken piano before or you took piano as a child and have always wanted to pick it back up, then piano lessons for Adults are right for you. Lessons range from 45 min. to 1 hr based on skill level and personal goals. I accept complete beginners as well as students with previous experience. We will work through an Adult Piano Lesson Book learning to read music and understand music theory. Additionally we will work on scales, technique, and repertoire that I choose or you and I choose together which can range from classical repertoire to your favorite pop songs. You will learn to read music, understand music theory, and play songs that you love. So let’s get started!

I offer a variety of lesson styles based on where you are located and what works best for us together. I teach out of my studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Additionally I can travel to you for in-home lessons if you have the appropriate equipment. And if you are not in New York or prefer virtual, I teach over zoom. I have many students over zoom and it works wonderfully!
